QUINCY, MA (WCMH) — The little boy knew that running a red light was bad, so when he was able, he called 911 and told on his daddy.
“Um, Daddy went past a red light. It was in the brand new car; my mommy’s car,” that’s what 6-year-old Robbie Richardson told the 911 dispatcher as he tattled on his dad.
The kindergartener and his dad, Mike, were on their way home, when Mike stopped at a red light, then turned right legally.
“And he says Dad you went thru a red light and I said yeah you can turn on red … no you can’t that light’s red you stay there. He goes I’m calling the police,” said Mike.
Robbie was true to his word too. When he got the chance, and unbeknownst to mom or dad, he called 911.
“And we had to go to the carwash, and then he went past the red light,” Robbie continued to tell the dispatchers.
When Robbie handed the phone to Mike, to say he was surprised is an understatement. “I just kind of panicked for a second.”
Things are good now, and it turns out, Robbie wants to be a police officer when he grows up.What others are clicking on:
