GWINNETT CO., GA (WCMH)– A Georgia student is alive today thanks to her big brother who performed CPR on her when she passed out on the bus on their way to school.
According to WSB, Amayrani and Ishmael Olvera were on their way to school last Thursday when Amayrani passed out and stopped breathing.
Ishmael didn’t hesitate and began CPR.
“So I was freaking out. I was crying, and I started doing CPR,” Ishmael said.
Ishmael and a friend continued CPR until paramedics arrived.
“You’re her big brother. You’re supposed to take care of her,” Ishmael told WSB.
According to Amayrani, it felt like she was floating above the whole scene, watching everything happening below.
“I could remember myself crying and my brother wiping off my tears,” Amayrani said.
While Ishmael doesn’t believe he’s a hero, his little sister says otherwise.
“I honestly love my brother so much. I might not say it often or show it, but, like, I love him a lot,” Amayrani said. What others are clicking on:
