EVERETT, WA (WCMH) — A Washington bus driver has lost her job after video surfaced showing her refusing to let students open the windows on a hot school bus.
The driver is repeatedly heard telling students on the bus they could not open the windows as temperature topped 80 degrees outside. One girl even passed out from the heat, KIRO-TV reports.
“Maya passed out on the bus. It’s too hot,” the children are heard saying.
“Okay, right now can you fan her?” the bus driver responded, before adding that they still couldn’t open the windows because it would set off alarms.
A school official later clarified that there is no rule against opening bus windows. The bus driver was eventually fired.What others are clicking on:
