Capital City Half Marathon – Road closures and parking

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The Capital City Half Marathon and 5k starts 8am on Saturday, April 30, but the road closures start long before that.

In preparation for the marathon, the following roads will be closed to through-traffic from Friday evening through the end of the race.


The City of Columbus encourages participants and spectators to carpool or use COTA to reduce congestion and parking delays.

Preferred, pre-paid parking is available at the Columbus Commons underground parking garage at 191 South Third Street and the Columbus Commons main garage at 55 east Rich Street. The cost is $5.50. Click here for information about purchasing.

There are two designated pick-up and drop-off spots for Uber riders. The drop-off spot is at the corner of High Street and Main Street. The pick-up spot is at the corner of Third Street and East Town Street. Be patient and coordinate with your driver to get to the proper location.
