HOT SPRINGS, AR (WCMH) – Charges against an Arkansas great-grandmother who hit a 12-year-old girl with a switch have been dropped.
Norma Toussaint, 70, was facing the charges after she says she picked up a switch from a bush in her yard and hit the child for talking back.
Prosecutors say that because she did not intentionally hurt the child, they dropped the second-degree battery charge she was facing, KARK-TV reports.
She says she forgives her granddaughter for calling police, saying, “a child you can’t stay mad with…you can’t… a 12 year old you just can’t stay mad with them.”What others are clicking on:
