CHILLICOTHE, OH (WCMH) – The Chillicothe woman who demanded an apology from Donald Trump, Jr. for a tweet which incorrectly identified her as a woman giving the Nazi salute now says she’s suing actor James Woods for not deleting his retweet .
Trump, Jr. retweeted a composite photo on Saturday, March 11 identifying Portia Boulger as the woman giving the Nazi salute at the cancelled Chicago appearance of his father Republican Presidential Front-runner Donald Trump the night before. But Boulger wasn’t there.
The photo in the retweet shows a woman in a Trump T-shirt is giving the Nazi salute. That woman has curly, chin-length white hair and bears some slight resemblance to the two year old picture of Portia posted below. But Portia’s hair has long since been in a short Pixie cut, she doesn’t wear square framed glasses like the woman in the photo and, most importantly, she was in Chillicothe that weekend.
The woman in the photo has since been identified by both the Chicago Tribune and the New York Times as Birgitt Peterson of Yorkville, IL.
Trump, Jr.’s Tweet has since been deleted, but actor James Woods also re-tweeted that same composite photo with the caption “So called #Trump “Nazi” is a #BernieSanders agitator/operative?”
Boulger tweeted Woods on March 17 asking him why they photo was still up. He deleted the composite photo on March 22.
She is a semi-retired school teacher and a full time Bernie Sanders supporter. Boulder volunteers as the Social Media Director for the grass roots effort Women4Bernie. She says that’s why her mis-identification was no mistake.
Boulger now says she is suing Woods for defamation. Her attorneys are still pursing an official apology via Twitter from Trump, Jr. What others are clicking on:
