CINCINNATI (WCMH)–The Cincinnati Reds announced they will unveil a statue of all-time hits leader Pete Rose outside of Great American Ball Park next year.

The Reds inducted Rose into the Hall of Fame this past summer.

Cincinnati-area artist Tom Tsuchiya is sculpting the homage to Rose–the former player is depicted during one of his trademark headfirst slides.

Tsuchiya also created the sculptures of Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez that adorn Crosley Terrace.

According to the Reds, Tsuchiya also sculpted the four original statues on Crosley Terrace of Joe Nuxhall, Frank Robinson, Ernie Lombardi and Ted Kluszewski.
