City budget includes more than a billion dollars for infrastructure work

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus city council is set to vote on what to do with your tax dollars in the coming year. More than half of the billion-dollar capital budget is allotted for infrastructure work on things like water and sewer improvements. 


Councilors have held at least four public meetings over the last two months and are set to vote on the budget on Monday. The budget overall plans to spend $720 million in new funding with $294 in carry over dollars. Here is a list of some of the big ticket items.
