CLEVELAND, Ohio (WCMH)–Police arrested a Cleveland man on Monday night after he allegedly told the Secret Service he wanted to kill Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

WLWT reports that the Secret Service assisted in the arrest of Jonathan W. Smead, 35.

According to affidavits, Smead called the Secret Service and stated, “I want to kill President Obama.”

He went on to mention past assassins, including Lee Harvey Oswald and John Wilkes Booth, WLWT reported.

The affidavit also said Smead has an interest in assassinations and that he has visited the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

Smead continued to say he wanted to kill Hillary Clinton and that he “wants federal charges, not little state charges.”

Smead was interviewed by Secret Service officials Monday, and admitted to making the phone call. The affidavit also says Smead said he was drinking alcohol prior to making the call, and that he did not know why he made the threats.

Smead has not yet been formally charged. The case has been handed over to U.S. Marshals for investigation.
