COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Students will be greeted at school with water bottles in order to keep hydrated. Kroger donated a truck-load of water to make sure the schools have enough.
They’re also working to circulate the air by bringing in large industrial size fans before students and staff arrive.
There’s more to beating the heat then water and fans. Teachers have to make their lesson plans more stimulating for students by increasing engagement.
School computer labs and library’s do have working AC units so students will be brought there when possible.
The schools ask that parents encourage their children to drink plenty of water, wear light clothing, and tell an adult if they begin to not feel well.
