COLUMBUS (WCMH)–The Columbus Division of Police announced it will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on W. Broad St. at Interstate 70 (1818 W. Broad St.) on Friday.
The checkpoint is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 8 and will continue until approximately 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9.
Columbus Police Traffic Bureau Sergeant Michael Smith said the checkpoint is in honor of an Officer Keith Evans, who died six days after he was struck by a drunk driver after Red, White & BOOM! on July 3, 1995.What others are clicking on:
