COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A robbery in the south Linden area prompted a SWAT situation in a nearby neighborhood Wednesday evening.
According to Columbus police, the robbery was reported around 3:38pm in the area of East 23rd Avenue and Billiter Blvd. The robber was seen going into a nearby house. The situation ended approximately three hours later, when police say they took an individual downtown for questioning. It remains unclear if that person is also the robbery suspect.
Roughly three blocks of the neighborhood were taped off. They opened back up shortly before 7 p.m., when police began to clear the scene.
