POWELL, OH (WCMH) — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium announced Thursday that Percy, a humphead wrasse at Discovery Reef passed away.
Percy arrived at the zoo in 2002, and has been a favorite of aquarium fans for years.
Veterinarians suspect Percy died of cancer, but the official cause of death is being investigated.
Percy was just over six inches long when he first arrived at the zoo, and he grew to be 55 pounds.
The zoo encouraged patrons to share their photos of Percy on Facebook.
