Columbus Zoo says Milo the macaw has returned

POWELL, OH (WCMH) — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium says Milo the macaw is back home safely after he flew away from Animal Encounters on Friday.

The zoo says staff last had eyes on Milo at 7:50pm, and then he flew out of sight. They asked for the public’s help locating him.

“We received a number of calls with possible sightings but this morning we had more than one from the same area,” the zoo said Sunday. “Our team quickly went to the location, saw Milo, and he responded to calls from one of his favorite people by flying to her.”
