A woman hit multiple parked cars before stopping. A 10-month-old baby was in the backseat.
Medics treated the driver and took her to the hospital. Spokane Police Officer Shane Phillips then tended to the crying baby.
Witnesses said the baby had been crying for more than 10 minutes before first responders arrived. Phillips fed the baby, changed her diaper and kept her warm.
Phillips said his fatherly instincts just kicked in, and he was just doing his job.
“I did what any cop would do,” Phillips said.Read more: http://bit.ly/1Szzjz4
