TROY, NY (WCMH) – A man and woman wanted in New York on child sexual abuse charges have been found dead of an apparent drug overdose at a motel in Tijuana, Mexico, the Mexican newspaper Zetatijuana reports.

WTEN-TV says it received a tip that the pair were in fact in Mexico, and Troy Police were investigating those rumors. Troy Police have yet to confirm any portion of the reports out of the Zetatijuana Newspaper’s story.

Adam Rupeka and his girlfriend, Jennifer Ogburn, were wanted in Troy for skipping out on a court hearing last week related to misdemeanor child sexual abuse charges. The couple was accused of sexually abusing a teen.

Rupeka is apparently married to another woman. His wife confirms he and Ogburn were found dead in Tijuana. She tells WTEN-TV the US Consulate called and confirmed it to her.
