COLUMBUS (WCMH)–Strong winds knocked power lines down on Saturday evening as a line of storms moved through the Columbus metro area.
AEP was reporting more than 8,000 customers without power in Franklin County at the peak of the storm; that number decreased as the night went on. About 314 customers in Franklin County were without power as of 6:30am Sunday. AEP Ohio says all customers should have their power back by 10 a.m.
AEP says that anyone who encounters a downed power line should assume it is a live wire, and stay away from it.
