WHITEHALL, Ohio (WCMH) — Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of two masked bandits who robbed a smoke shop in Whitehall last month.
According to investigators, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, two men with bandanas covering their faces entered the Rich Tobacco shop on the 700 block of South Hamilton Road just before 8 p.m. One of the men jumped the front counter, pushed the clerk out of the way and filled a bag with cartons of Newport cigarettes while the other man stood near the counter and acted as a lookout.
After loading up on cigarettes, the two men fled the store on foot, heading east toward South Hamilton Road.
The first suspect was wearing a gray hoodie with jeans and Timberland-style boots at the time of the robbery. The second suspect was wearing a black hoodie with jeans and black and white athletic shoes. Both men had their hoods up, bandanas covering their faces and were wearing blue surgical gloves.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of these two men.
