TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IN (WLFI) – An Indiana man faces formal charges for child molestation.

Prosecutors said the victim was six years old

Michael Shoaf, 48, was arrested on Aug. 2. The allegations came to light when the victim’s father told investigators he walked in on Shoaf in the act.

A forensic interviewer spoke to the victim, who said Shoaf had put his privates on her privates during multiple occasions.

Shoaf is in the Tippecanoe County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
