COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police are investigating a motorcycle crash on the city’s east side that has left one person dead.

According to Columbus Police, at about 10:54am, Mark Yeongshin Nishio, 23, of Columbus, was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on I-70, east of downtown when he lost control of the vehicle while changing lanes near the Kelton Avenue exit.

Police say Nishio was ejected from the motorcycle and onto the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash, but say Nishio was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
