HOWELL, NJ (WCMH) — Sometimes, when you hit a deer, the deer hits back.

A Howell, New Jersey police officer was responding to a call on September 17 she he saw a car hit a deer in front of him. A 43-year-old woman pulled over after hitting the deer and started to open the door of her car.

Then, the deer returned and tried to jump into the car while the driver tried to get out. She struggled with the deer for a short time and was able to kick it out of the front seat and shut the door.

The driver only reported a minor injury to her knee. She and the officer shared a laugh after the odd incident.
