PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A man travelling with a large amount of cash on his lap, a 2-month-old baby in the back seat and three trash bags with more than 27 pounds of Spice in them was pulled over and arrested in Clearwater, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office affidavit.
Tyler Alexander Chile, 22, was driving in Clearwater when he was pulled over by Clearwater Police. Officers saw a large amount of cash on his lap and smelled synthetic cannabinoids in the car. Chile admitted he might have some Spice in his vehicle, according to the arrest affidavit.
Officers found three garbage bags of the substance totalling approximately 1220 packets. The bags were right next to a 2-month-old baby on the back seat. Police didn’t reveale the child’s identity.
The packets were in 10-gram foil pouches with labels similar to the ones police typically find during Spice investigations. The substance in the packages tested positive for 5-FLUORO ADB. That substance is harmful if inhaled, swallowed or touched. The Material Safety Data Sheet for this substances shows that it can cause fatal Cyanide poisoning.
The extremely large amount that was found in Chile’s car indicates that the drug was meant for distribution. Post-Miranda, Chile admitted he had bought it for $3,500 to sell it.
Kayla Marie Broeker, 22, is also listed in the arrest affidavit as a co-defendant but she was not arrested or charged with anything.
He was arrested on the charges of drug possession with intent to sell, child abuse and driving with the license suspended or removed. What others are clicking on:
