SPRING HILL, FL (WFLA) – Three Pasco County residents are accused of taking money from the bank account of an 81-year-old Alzheimer’s patient, causing the victim’s home to go into foreclosure.
Investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office say Bonnie Mae Pierce, age 62, Renee Sigel, age 51, and John Hyatt, age 51, used money from the victim’s bank and credit card accounts to pay their own personal bills. The trio also allegedly bought a lawn tractor, clothing, costumes, alcoholic beverages, gasoline and other personal items with the money and credit cards.
The suspects stopped the female victim’s bank, credit card and mortgage payments, which caused her home to go into foreclosure, according to the PCSO.
Pierce, Sigel and Hyatt were arrested on charges of exploiting the elderly. Each suspect was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center with bond set at $20,000.What others are clicking on:
