LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH)–Officials say a Reynoldsburg man who was recently released from prison has been arrested in Lancaster on a probation violation, with drug-related charges to follow.
Major Crimes Unit Detectives from the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and Lancaster Police Department stopped two men on Canal Street in Lancaster on March 8, according to a press release.

One of the men, Cortney D. Champelle, has a lengthy criminal history and was released from prison in late January on drug charges, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.
Detectives and Probation Officers recovered ninety-five (95) grams of pre-packaged for sale heroin, $428.00 in currency and a backpack filled with additional packaging materials, needles, and a digital scale.
Champelle was later transported to the Fairfield County jail where he is being held on a probation violation with multiple drug related felony charges to be presented later.
