COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Franklin County Dog Shelter has picked up 156 dogs since the 4th of July holiday, 57 of which have been reunited with their owners.
The fireworks that come along with Independence Day scare many dogs so much that they run away.
If the lost dogs are not claimed within three days, State Law allows for them to begin being prepped for adoption. If you believe your dog may have been picked up, check the Franklin Co. Lost Dogs Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/FranklinCoDogs/ and for any other information visit http://www.franklincountydogs.com/.
If you need to pick up your dog, the shelter operates from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to weekdays at 4340 Tamarack Blvd. What others are clicking on:
