COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police are looking for a driver who hit two houses and caused a gas leak early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 2:30am on the 1900 block of Woodcrest Road in Columbus.
According to police, a driver lost control while driving north on Woodcrest, went off the road, hit a house, then crashed through a fence and hit another house, damaging a gas meter in the process.
The driver then ran from the crash scene, according to police.
A passenger in the car was taken to an area hospital after complaining of difficulty breathing.
One of the homes was evacuated due to the gas leak. Building inspectors were called to check the structures.What others are clicking on:
