MARION, OH (WCMH) — NBC4 has done many stories in the past few years on the drug problem in communities and the lives it is taking every single day.

But it is also worth pointing out the success stories that treatment can make for the men and women once hooked by illegal drugs.

In Marion they have those stories walking around in their community, and now serving the same people who are fighting addiction.

Bethani Temple, and Kelly Clixby are connected by not only the drugs they took, but the treatment they searched out and found.

Bethani was the first graduate from the Marion Court Family Dependency Treatment Program, now she is the coordinator.

Kelly went through the Marion Area Counseling Center, now she is a sponsor for others, attends meetings and even drives addicts to programs to get them help.

This upcoming weekend, hundreds will gather in Marion to raise awareness of drug addiction and prevention.

A walk called “Hope For Tomorrow” will take place at the First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday.

It will begin at 10:30 a.m. and is open for anyone who wants to attend. What others are clicking on:
