COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Franklin County DUI Taskforce and the Columbus Division of Police have scheduled sobriety checkpoints tonight.

Police have two checkpoints. The first will be operated on Cleveland Ave. at Melrose Ave. in north Columbus from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. The second will be operated on E. Hudson St. at Glenmawr Ave. near the University District, from 1 a.m.-3 a.m.

The Franklin County DUI Taskforce will run a checkpoint from Friday at 9 p.m. until Saturday morning at 1 a.m. on Norton Road, south of W. Broad Street.

The Task Force wants to impress upon those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.

The checkpoint is being held in recognition of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” national campaign and will be conducted by the Franklin County DUI Taskforce.
