PHILADELPHIA, PA (WCMH) — A woman suffered minor injuries when a catfish fell from the sky and hit her in the face.

“I think it might have been head, face, and neck because I smelled so bad afterwards. I smelled disgusting,” Lisa Lobree told KYW-TV.

Lobree said she was walking near the Waterworks Pier on Labor Day when she heard some rustling from the trees and the fish hit her in the head.

At first, she didn’t realize what had happened until a friend found the culprit.

“It bounced off Annie. Annie sees me go down, turns around, looks and goes ‘Oh my God! It was a fish,'” Lobree said.

Lobree suffered some minor injuries to her face, including a small cut and some swelling, but said she can now see the humor in the incident. “Think it’s just nice it’s giving people a good story to laugh at.”

Friends say the fish came from a bird that was seen flying away shortly after the fish fell.
