COLUMBUS (WCMH) — In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s easy to forget that it’s better to give than receive.
One young group of singers, however, are hoping to change that by lifting their voice for our Firefighters 4 Kids toy drive.
“I believe that Jesus gave to us. He was born on Christmas Day that we should give to others in return,” seventh grader Maya Chaffin says of her family’s song.
Maya, along with Mariah, Ceylon and Caleb are all part of the catchy song they hope will help motivate people to give this season.
“Giving so other people can have things that you may have,” second grader Ceylon says about Christmas giving.
Their father, also named Ceylon, says he’s proud of his kids.
“It warms our heart, you know, all of our kids singing and doing something positive. For making an impact and trying to make the world a better place for their gifts.”
Don’t forget, we’ll be collecting your new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations Saturday at the NBC4 studios at 3165 Olentangy Rive Road, Columbus, between 8am and 3pm.
