Filming begins in Granville for Bruce Willis film

GRANVILLE (WCMH) – After a lot of buzz about the super-star, people in Granville finally got to see Bruce Willis in action.

Willis was in a police uniform at several locations in downtown Granville.

He’s portraying a Granville Police Chief trying to solve a kidnapping in a film called “First Kill.”

Steve Matheny with the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce said, “People are buzzing about it. They are asking if they need extras.”

A local CVS is being covered into a makeshift police department. The post office and Aladdin Restaurant were also used in the film.

The “real” police chief Bill Caskey said the producers have kept the village in a positive light.

“The director said his vision is he wanted a police chief who interacted with the public in a positive fashion and got along with everyone so that’s more like real life,” Granville Police Chief Bill Caskey said.

Granville resident Chuck Haire’s Ram Dodge Charger is being used as Willis’ police chief cruiser.

Chuck said, “It’s exciting. I don’t think he will sign the dashboard or anything but it will be a memory.”

The crew and cast are expected to be in Granville for the next three weeks. What others are clicking on:
