ORLANDO, Fla. (WCMH)–A new princess is joining the storied ranks of Disney royalty–Elena, who debuts in a new series this summer.

Disney Parks announced Wednesday that Princess Elena will appear in Magic Kingdom Park beginning in August. “A teenager in fairytale kingdom, Elena adds a new dimension to the Disney-princess world,” Disney said on their parks blog. 

Elena is inspired by “diverse Latin cultures,” the company said. She is featured in the upcoming series “Elena of Avalor.” She is described as bold and adventurous, with her love for her kingdom and her family fueling her magical adventures.What others are clicking on:
