COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A former music teacher will spend 25 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.
Brian Sze was assistant director of bands at Bishop Watterson for 8 years, according to his LinkedIn page.
He was ordered to pay $12,290.05 to his victims.
In June 2015, Sze was fired from his job at Watterson for violating the state code of conduct after he allegedly sent an inappropriate text message to a student.
However, no criminal charges were filed at that time and Sze ended up getting a new teaching job in Seattle at Lakeside School.
The investigation began in July 2015 after a tip was called into ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) which indicated Sze had illicit sexual contact with a minor and subsequently recorded the encounter. He also allegedly asked the child to film themselves while in Sze’s home.
