DELAWARE, OH (WCMH)–Former chess instructor F. Leon Wilson was sentenced to 8 1/2 years in prison for sexually abusing two young students.
The Delaware County Prosecutor announced the news Friday.
A jury found Wilson guilty in June. He was on trial for allegedly touching two of his chess students Inappropriately. One was four years old, the other seven, both girls.
This was the second trial for Wilson. The first trial, in October 2015, resulted in a hung jury.
The guilty charges included 2 counts of gross sexual imposition, each carrying a school zone specification.
In addition to prison time, Wilson also received 5 years of post release control.
