COLUMBUS (WCMH)– The man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after police said he provided the heroin to two people who overdosed and died on the drug.

Investigators say 65-year-old Lester Eugene Thimmes went to the apartment of 49-year-old Shawna M. Lively and her boyfriend 39-year-old Corey E. Johnson in the 4500 block of Refugee Road, where he prepared and provided heroin to the two.

Hours later, the bodies of Lively and Johnson were found inside the apartment by a home health care nurse.

According to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, Thimmes was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of corrupting another with drugs, a count of illegal manufacturing of drugs and a count of tampering with evidence.

“If found guilty on these charges, Thimmes faces significant time in prison,” O’Brien stated.

Thimmes is scheduled to be arraigned March 25.What others are clicking on:
