IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (WCMH)–A longtime Carolina Panthers fan snapped a photo of a highway sign that he says will predict the score of Super Bowl 50.

The green sign reads “Denver 7, Newton 20.” It’s really telling drivers how far apart those two cities are, but Jason Smith said he thinks it’s “a sign from the football gods.”

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers play the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Within days, the photo of the sign off of Highway 16 in North Carolina got more than 36,000 shares on Facebook.
