COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say a west Columbus UDF was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

It happened around 4am at the United Dairy Farmers at 530 South Hague Avenue.

According to Columbus police, the suspect selected a Zebra Cake, approached the counter and paid for his snack. As the clerk closed the register, police say the man drew a hangun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash.

The man then leaped over the counter and grabbed handfuls of cash before running from the store.
