COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Hundreds of racers turned out to deal a big blow to the central Ohio drug problem.

The Tyler’s Light 5K took place Saturday morning at the Toll Gate Elementary school in Pickerington. People of all ages raced or walked their way to the finish line.

The 5K is run every year in part to remember Tyler Campbell, a college football player who died from a drug overdose after getting addicted to pain pills from a football injury, and to raise awareness and money for drug awareness programs.

Some familiar faces from the Ohio State Buckeyes showed up, and our own Mindy Drayer had the privilege to MC the run.
