MADISON, WI (WMTV) Twenty-four hours after Robert McClean of Wisconsin got married to his wife Heidi on July 23, he lost his wedding ring.

They were having a party on Lake Mendota to celebrate the wedding when Robert noticed his ring was gone. “I started to panic,” he said, “We had eight people in the lake looking for it.”

They left for their honeymoon without the ring, but Heidi’s mom decided to step in and hire Lost and Found Ring.

Owner of Lost and Found Ring, Dan Roekle searched the bottom of the lake with a special metal detector and shovel until they found it.

“Robert’s story is great cause he only had his ring for a day,” Roekle said.

“I didn’t know ring finders were a thing, but I’m glad they are!” Robert says.
