COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a 7-month-old male baby has died after an SUV hit the baby’s stroller.
It happened near the intersection of Woodsedge Road and Westerville Road around 4:52pm Thursday.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said a woman driving an SUV was northbound on Westerville Road. She went off the road and struck the baby and his father, who was pushing the stroller on the side of the road. The vehicle struck a house in the 3500 block of the road and came to rest.
The child’s father, 23-year-old Kenan Ferebee, was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. Seven-month-old Micah was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and pronounced dead later.
The sheriff’s office said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor.
Nafisa Jamale, who stopped to help, said she tried to save the baby.
“I was driving and, like, see a dad crying.”
She took off her scarf and put it behind the child’s head.
“Me and the other two people tried our best. We did CPR.”
She said she helped serve as a translator for the driver of the SUV, who doesn’t speak much English.
“She feels really bad and hopes, prays for the family,” Jamale said. What others are clicking on:
