Injured Bald Eagle rescued in Newark

NEWARK, OH (WCMH) – A group of people in Newark helped rescue a Bald Eagle after it collided with a building.

According to Newark police, the eagle injured itself after hitting a building on Case Avenue. A group of people called Newark police.


An Ohio Division of Natural Resources officer responded and took the bird for treatment.

The group of people who found the eagle named him “Veteran Freedom” in honor of Veterans Day.
