COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — NBC4’s investigation into the cyber attack on the City of Columbus is getting national attention.

NBC4 Investigates‘ Isabel Cleary and former NBC4 journalist Mark Feuerborn were honored by the Center for Integrity in News Reporting in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. The group recognizes reporting that is fair, impartial, and objective with the goal of restoring the public’s faith in journalism.

Cleary was the first journalist to expose that thousands of people’s private information had been stolen by hackers after Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said the data “lacked value.”

NBC4 congratulates Isabel and Mark, and is proud of the work of all the journalists at NBC4.

Cleary continues to press for the city’s official report on the attack, which has been delayed for months.
