A popular seafood chain and discount store have been warned to clean up their act.
The Franklin County Public Health Department recently issued both of the businesses Warning Letters for “repeat uncorrected violations and/or failure to maintain sanitary conditions.”
In its last inspection, Long John Silver’s, 4670 W. Broad S., had 17 violations, five of them critical.
- Both the walk-in cooler and cold table were holding at 45 degrees. State law requires cold foods to be held at 41 degrees or below
- Uncovered fish containers in the walk-in freezer
- Inspector noted that ice machine needs a detailed cleaning.
So far this year, 99 Plus Center Super Store, 4191 Lincoln Park Court, has had three inspections for a total of 44 violations including a dozen critical ones.
