Warned to clean up its act a month ago, an Upper Arlington favorite is back Up To Code.
Last month, NBC 4’s Tom Sussi showed you why the Franklin County Public Health Department issued Windward Passage Restaurant, 4739 Reed Road, a Warning Letter for “uncorrected critical violations.”
During an inspection on Dec. 7, inspectors uncovered 21 violations including six critical ones:
- Like ground beef stored above raw fish in an upright cooler
- Raw fish and chicken stored above produce in the walk-in cooler
- Uncovered scallops in the walk-in cooler
- Homemade sauces and ranch dressing not date-marked
Windward Passage Restaurant passed its latest inspection with flying colors; not a single critical violation.
The recipient of this week’s coveted NBC 4 Up To Code Award? Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, 3461 Cleveland Ave. A Columbus family opened the restaurant in 1997. Since then, they’ve added two more locations.
