CLEVELAND, OH (WCMH) — Charlie Sheen seemed to tease it would be him, but the Cleveland Indians say the first pitch at Game 7 of the World Series will instead by thrown out by Jim Thome.

The Indians Hall of Famer will get the game ball from another Indians great, Travis Hafner.

Thome played for Cleveland the last time the Indians were in a World Series Game 7. That was back in 1997 when they lost to the Florida Marlins in 11 innings. Jay Powell ended the 11th by getting Thome to ground into a double play before Edgar Renteria’s game-ending hit.

Tonight, the Cubs and Indians will play the 38th decisive World Series Game 7, and the Indians are hoping to come out on top. Rain could have a factor if the game goes late or into extra innings.
