NEW YORK (WCMH)–President Barack Obama is reportedly getting to see screeners of “Game of Thrones” season 6 before the premiere, and a journalist has asked the government to share his copies with the public.

Vanessa Golembewski of Refinery29 filed her request under the Freedom of Information Act. Normally, journalists and other industry people get to see the screeners, but the President is supposedly the only guy outside of HBO who gets to see early episodes.

“I decided this was a perfect opportunity to test the limits of the Freedom Of Information Act. If the president – and by extension, our government – is in possession of a file, surely that file is subject to my request to see it as a U.S. citizen,” Golembewski wrote.

Golembewski said her editor gave her a $10 budget, but she decided not to offer the government any money because she owes them for her student loans.What others are clicking on:
