COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–A juvenile is in serious condition after a shooting near the intersection of Jefferson and Duxberry avenues.

Columbus police said a five-year-old boy was found suffering from a gun shot wound in a back bedroom of a residence in the 900 block of Duxberry Ave.

Medics transported the boy to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The boy underwent surgery, and was listed in serious condition Saturday morning.

Police are still investigating.
