CLEVELAND, OH (WCMH) — Sorry, Cleveland Indians fans. Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn will not be throwing out the first pitch at the World Series.
Instead, fans will be treated with alumni Kenny Lofton and Carlos Baerga. The two legends will throw out the first pitches for Games 1 and 2 of the World Series, the team announced Monday afternoon.
The team also announced that pop singer Rachel Platten will sing the National Anthem before Game 1. She is best known for her pop hit, “Fight Song.” Country duo LOCASH will perform the National Anthem before Game 2.
Fans had been hoping to get Charlie Sheen to throw out the first pitch due in part to his portrayal in the movie “Major League.”
