Delaware (WCMH) – Thursday the races for the Little Brown Jug will go on at the Delaware County Fair on the first day of Autumn.   High temps will be well above normal on Thursday in the upper 80s, warm, but not the hottest ever recorded for the races (93 in 2010).Below is a plot of the 71 year running for the Little Brown Jug (1946-2016)

What was interesting in the data, one time in 2005 the high temp (89) was the warmest for the month.   However, on 4 days of the Little Brown Jug race the coldest temp of the month occurred that day.  We have also had several times when temps dipped into the 30s the morning of the Jug Race.   The coldest temp was 35 the day of the race.
