COLUMBUS (WCMH) – One person was shot near northeast Columbus around 6:28 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said a 22-year-old victim was shot in the chest and taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the shooting occurred near the 1000 block of Leona Ave.

Local law enforcement continues to investigate this incident.
